Just having had surgery, makes it interesting.

Carrying during the summer month's can be a challenge. I can rust a blued gun in short order. I'm thankful for todays modern finishes that allow us to get by with a bit less worry in regards to that part.

Now onto the matter at hand. I had a stent put in this past week and had to make a doctor's visit on Tuesday. Typically, I carry a .380 in my front pocket. But given my current physical status (which ain't much even when I'm not under the weather) I wanted a 'Second Policy' let's say.

I've always worn my shirt tails tucked in. I went 'old school' and pulled my fanny pack rig out. I've had it for probably 15 years and haven't worn it in the past 13. I can't find a makers name on it, but it's a nice leather rig and held my 3" Model 65 perfectly. The extra pockets held a couple of speedloaders, speed strip, flashlight and cell phone. My back has had a catch in it lately. Nothing bad, but when it catches it can sure lock me up in a hurry. I decided as a nice touch to add a sword cane I have.

While the fanny pack isn't for everyone, it's still a very viable option.
