Guns that shouldn't have 'worked' but did
Oh, I've been lookin' at 'em alright.
A lot. 
On a replacement barrel, some might scoff, but I'd probably order one from a 'custom' barrel maker such as Bar-Sto. (I see they don't list anything longer than 6' on their website, but a phone call might turn up addtional info.)
Another option would be searching eBay & GunBroker more or less every day until you find one. (You can also have them notify you by email, but I prefer the manual method.)
Either way, it's only money. Or time...
