Thread files will cut serrations pretty quickly. You just need to pick a pitch and slowly cut straight across the sight face keeping repeated cuts in the same grooves. Maybe practice on the edge of a piece of scrap would be useful.

I only selected this as an example. In fact, I didn't even note the thread pitch so I couldn't say if it was too fine or too coarse.
