Ok, so cutting the face of the sight might not be a cost
I think can be done, but since someone makes them already it would probably be easier to just buy a new one for a few dollars.
My Bowen 500 has the white line sights and while they are great for lower light I have never been able to shoot my best with them. I talked to Alan about milling down the face of th eblade and serriating it, but never had it done.
