32-20 and Short throat

Scott,

Got into the same thing on the Marlin 1894. Seems the throat on the reamers the factory uses are non-existent. The solution was to have the chamber throated. It was done by Reggie Nonneman in Grant City Mo.

Now it will digest nearly any type bullet and has opened up a whole new realm of performance for the 32-20. In the little Marlin with a 20" barrel, I was shooting 120's at 2200+ and 135's at 2020 fps. Considering the 120's are right on the heels of the 7.62x39 while using 17 grains of powder, is pretty interesting.
