A couple good french knifes for chopping
a sharp boning knife and a couple paring blades
a bread knife & you'll be set for most chores.
We also have a Ginso type set that out performs the Cutco blades at every level.
Henchel are good and easily acquired at the mall stores.

This is a set a pro would be proud tom own. Times have changed, but these knives still work great.
