I'd bet something between 16.5 and 17 will be pretty tight but that 16.5 group is probably good for anything I'd likely do. That 'first shot of the string' being out is odd to me. I'd be hard pressed to buy into a cold barrel or fouling shot because it seems you weren't pushing all that hard and I see no mention of cleaning between strings.

All in all, I'm a bit jealous. We probably won't get to the cabin to shoot for a while. We had a small road trip yesterday and the front support band on my fuel tank broke (?--haven't looked closely yet). We ended up running a couple of ratchet straps across the frame and 'jacking' the tank back up to get home. Oh well---I promised Melodie it wouldn't be dull!
