Went to the San Marcos Gun Show this morning.
Spent a couple hours wandering the aisles with my 2 grandsons. It was their first ever Gun Show. A little over 600 tables. Some with shirts and/or knives but more than 90% of the tables were firearms.
Plastic guns were about 20 to 1 of steel and wood guns. Autoloading handguns out numbered revolvers maybe 50 to 1. Many tables looked exactly like the table on the next isle with row after row after row of striker-fired plastic guns.
Lots of ammo for sale as well as primers. Most tables had primers around $150 or $160 a thousand. I found one table selling primers for $70 to $75 a thousand. I bought the last Large Pistol brick that he had.
Prices on most guns seemed high, though there were some decently priced guns such as the Rock Island 1911's ... Caniks ... and Taurus. Typical was a table with Ruger Wranglers and Heritage .22 single actions. $350 ... but he said if I was interested he would lower to $300 cash. I thanked him and walked away. Wasn't looking for a .22 anyhow but his prices were ridiculous.
This is the first gun show I have been to in about 20 years and while it wasn't a disappointment it wasn't that much fun.
