Elmer's Bullets

I don’t recall if my first mold was for the 38 or 45, but I know for a fact the first 45 mold was a two cavity 454424. Funny thing is, I loaded that bullet for years in a Ruger before I finally shot it in a SAA copy. I was impressed by how inch of the cylinder it filled up in that Colt copy! Elmer certainly designed it with a such case capacity as Possible! I ended up with a 358429 awhile later and have shot it in quite a few different 38’s and 357’s WTH good accuracy. I picked up a 38/44 Outdoorsman awhile back. I should really test it out with Elmer’s classic bullet and loads.

Thanks for reposting this article, Jim. I enjoyed reading it years ago and still do today!
