Spot on!
Shoot a lot of them in 38 and 44 calibers. HPs of each also. Water dropped and run hard in a strong gun like a Ruger, they are impressive against a lot of things made of meat or steel. The fan spray you speak of I have only seen from 250gr XTPs @ 1600fps (454C) passing through deer broadside. My old Ruger OM 357 with a 4&5/8" barrel is missing most of the finish, but if you see it you can safely bet it is loaded with hot 173gr Keiths.
