Interesting...I'm glad they had some common sense:)

When my oldest graduated from his MOS at Fort Sill I called and they said "sure, t
Just tell the guard at the gate you have a weapon and they'll either make sure it's locked and unloaded or they may hold onto it until you leave, but no problem". Well, it was a big problem. They pulled us over to the side and kept us there until we were almost late for his grad ceremony. They finally said just make sure it's unloaded, locked in a box and the ammo separated (which it was) and let us go. They were really friendly and just wanted to talk guns with me while I was in an urgent hurry to not be late. They were pulling about every three to four cars over and checking them anyhow. This time I'd just as soon stay out of trouble. I sure don't want to go without weapon though. These days if I was going on a trip I'd be taking a pistol AND an AR15. The military base sure screws up everything.
