Yes sir, it is a deer legal caliber. I was planning on a .458 socom upper for an AR just so I could easily scope it. This one was really purchased 'just because' but it's always nice to be able to justify a purchase!! I imagine with a gang sight it'll be a good shooter; all of the other Italian long guns I've shot have been.
