indeed.....I seem to correlate with some other folks here....in that my 'go to the...... locally" trips, are generally one - or sometimes two - hammerless J's. Well worn, with grips that fit my 'point' and smooth pulls. However, when it's new or predictably uncertain territory, I seem to 'gear up' with heavier magazine-fed Arty, and more fodder. Detroit merits a long gun, as well, tho it's generally the .357 lever, and not an AR. OTOH, I do recall at least once there, when a Quad .50 would have been damned satisfying, in order to clear a rock-throwing pack of urban monkeys, off of a once graceful -- and now dry fountain, on an abandoned island in the center of a roundabout.
