the Mags are good enough, espec. if you buy them cheap

The biggest problem with the Mags, or any light with alkaline batteries, is that the batteries will leak eventually. Lithium batteries are much better in that regard.

How many lights can you use?
I have:
1 in my briefcase
1 in my pocket
2 in my car
1 in the garage
1 next to the bed
a pile of them in my home office

My wife has:
1 by the bed
1 in the kitchen
1 on her keyring

The problem with lights as a hobby is that they evolve rapidly so many of the nice ones that you bought a few years ago are now obsolete. I have a pile of obsolete lights and upgrade parts.
