I have a compact light mounted on my "night" 870 with a clamp mount on the extension mag, and a cable tie to "adjust" it to hit where the sights look. Crude as can be, but it has stood up to 12 gauge recoil for several years. Butt of the flashlight is right ahead of the forend where I can punch the button with my left thumb.

Cobbled up as a temporary rig several years ago, intending to get something better later, but it's still working.....
