I don't really mind the original Series 80 style firing pin safeties. I despise the Schwartz system. I disabled it on a former Kimber and turned it into a Series 70 as I've seen them cause false hammer strikes where the hammer falls and drives the pin into the block because the grip safety was pushed enough to clear the hammer but not the firing pin safety plunger....that was on an S&W PC 1911. I just buy the Tripp Cobra mags and they do really well. Is there a benefit to the Tripp/Wilson combo?
