...with this bullet, and that was 17.0 grains of 296, for right at 1100 fps from a 7 1/2" Ruger Super Blackhawk (all pressure signs appeared mild). Accuracy at 25-30 yards was fine, but at 75-80 yards some of the shots appeared to be tumbling. I think this bullet is right on the edge of being stabilized at that velocity, and a little more velocity would make a big difference. I'm pretty sure that whoever designed this bullet, designed it with the Super Redhawk in mind (note the 2 crimp grooves), and I suspect that they were pushing things much harder than I was. A longer barrel could help too.
