I have a friend who has a brass-frame .357 Henry
I can't get enthused about brass framed leverguns - unless somehow I were to inherit an original Henry. My brother has one of the 22's and it wouldn't work at all, it had the wrong magazine follower setup, no idea what it was from, but it was NOT an original Henry one. Andy Larsson put me in touch with the folks at Henry and they sent me an original follower for the rifle - no charge! By the time it arrived it was too late to get out to the range, but it ran a tube full of cartridges through just fine, without firing. I assume (yeah, I know) that it'll run just fine even adding the step of pulling the trigger between cranking the lever. Somehow I don't think my brother has gotten it to the range either. Between a honeymoon, new job and now a new baby in the family he's not had much time for the range.
