I had the itch for one as well years ago until I walked into a small gun shop and they had a 98% condition Japanese built Winchester, with ammo, dies, bullets, brass and bullet mold for $750, smoking deal. Gathered some money together and went back to the shop, lucky it was still there and bought it. Beautiful rifle and was a thumper. Sadly I no longer own it, an itch for a 41 Magnum Freedom Arms model 83 was greater and the rifle was traded in as down payment for the FA. Diffidently one of the guns that got away that I wished I had back.
