We agree 100% on flat top sights with a handgun type sight picture, except that I tend to prefer a flat topped blade front. But, that being said, I still do ok with a bead if it isn't huge....brass hubcap was an accurate description. I may well just flat-top mine and change the front and file the sight ladder to hit where I want, I also need to remove a bit of the thumb hump at the top of the ladder because I see it in the notch on the lowest setting.
