Again, overpriced for what you get.

The Troopers were good guns 20 years ago for $400, but they have been coat-tailing on Pythons lately. Shops are trying to squeeze the price a Python was 20 years ago out of them. A quick Gunbroker search found the .357 guns selling for $550-700 unless they were NIB examples. Those were sold guns, not asking prices.

For under $700 you could get a nice used S&W 686 or 586. A Ruger Security Six can be had for $500 or less. A new Ruger GP100 is in the $600 range.
