My .300 SBR is an 8.5" and has no trouble hitting half scale silhouette steel at 350 yards with 125 gr super sonic loads. I just swapped scopes and put a 1-3x Weaver on it. My AK SBR is a 10 or 10.5" and I can hit the same steel with a red dot most of the time.
