Rossi 92 .357 mag. - I have one

The action slicked up fairly good with some oil and working the action at lot. Once I get it loaded, it functions fine with 357 ammo, but when ejecting the fired case, it does put a little nick/dent in the case mouth. Accuracy is good with the factory sights, good enough for my use. However, loading is my problem: the loading gate sometimes does not want to depress due to being hung up with a sharp edge on the rim of the cartridge already in the tube; also the edge of the port is sharp and needs a beveling to allow the cases to slip into the tube without catching on the rim; sometime I have to giggle with a cartridge to get it to go into the tube. Same problem with loading 38 special ammo, with the added occasional event of a cartridge popping up and out of the action when cycling to load a round into the chamber. That load is with a short 125 gr bullet, the same bullet that does fine in 357 cases. I have also tried 158 gr WFN 357 loads the shoot great. Oh, the 38 special loads also shoot great. I haven't had any work done to solve the loading problem because I haven't decided to keep the rifle because I have 32/20 LA rifles that serve the same purpose. That's all I can think of right now, hope it helps.
