I couldn't find/want to afford a .356 so...
I had one built on a Marlin 30AS. Currently sports the 20" tube but have been thinking on chopping it back. It has the pistol grip. I really, really like the straight grips but the 'angle of the dangle' does not work for me...something to do with how my trigger finger relates to the trigger.
Dropped a 300+ lb. sow this spring using the 200gr FTX. She humped up at the shot, turned about 90 deg and fell like a stone. Bullet was recovered after traversing through about 30" of pig; perfectly mushroomed and around 160gr or so.
I think I'll treat this one to some nicer wood.
