And should you decide to go aftermarket

I have spent the past couple of hours searching for hammers, and came to the conclusion that the Harrison Design is what I will purchase if I cannot locate a Colt hammer (I found the same Colt part on GB, btw, but want to be certain it is really Colt afore dropping ducats).

Harrison did some of the work on my Springfield GI so I am familiar with his stuff. He not only performed his round butt surgery to the frame, he provided his version of the Yost-Bonitz rear sight, which will likely go on my Para as well. It currently has a very nice rear sight, reminiscent of the rear sights that Colt uses, sort of a taller version of the original GI sights. However Para has seen fit to include dots, which my poor old eyes have trouble with at times, so until I fit a better sight, I suppose a black sharpie marker will have to suffice.

FOG, do your magic and see if you can locate a front sight that fits the Para's front dovetail, please? One that is NOT fiber optic!
