.300 WBY in a no 1 and a Rem 700 AS.
I know what your saying about only so dead!! I have never shot a big game animal over 100 yards. Varmints another story. In my area being wooded and shooting a slug gun 100 yards is a long shot to anyone Around here.
I have always liked the looks of the Weatherby cartridges.
I have never been recoil sensitive. been shooting slug guns and turkey loads my whole life. Nothing is as punishing as a 3 1/2" turkey load out of a 7 pound shotgun!!! Not sure why guys do that? But Rob I'm sure the 378 will get your attention. How about a 460?
