By "pre-lock" do you mean pre-safety?

If so, then I doubt this gun is a pre-safety, as Marlin started putting safeties on their lever-guns in 1983, and the .32 H&R Mag wasn't introduced until 1984. That being said, the .32 H&R 1894s are indeed highly sought after and "desirable". It would make a dandy little ground squirrel and jack rabbit gun.
