OK, that may be ancient technology, BUT
I have one just like it, and out of a custom holster that Rob made for it a few years back, it is the quickest thing from the leather that I own.
I do mostly shoot .38 Specials out of it, or +P .38 Special level handloads in magnum cases. Still, if had to carry with any serious expectation of maybe having to shoot real quick to save my bacon, that short little snorter would be on my belt.
BTW, before you trade it off, stick a Tyler adapter on it and run a box of 145-grain Winchester Silvertips through it. You may decide it ain't so old-fashioned after all.
