Shot the Colt Cobra today

Before I did, I switched to Fitz Gunfighter grips. They are plastic and larger than factory grips, extending past the bottom of the gripframe by 1/4 in. They also fill in the gap between the trigger guard and frontstrap. They flare at the bottom side to side, not front to back.

Shot three types of bullets: 125 truncated cone, 148 wc, and 158 rnfp, all standard velocity. The 125s had gentle recoil but printed two inches low at 7 yards. The 148s recoiled a bit more and grouped nicely at POA/POI. The 158s were harder recoiling but controllable.

Shot the rest of the 158s out of the thinking man's snubbie -- a three-inch barrel Ruger Speed Six.

Also shot 45 AR out of my Brazilian contract model with the Pachmayrs grips. 230 rnl sitting on top of 6 grains of Unique. Accurate but I think 5 grains of Unique would be more comfortable.

Finished with an OM three-screw .357 Ruger, 6.5 inch barrel. Nice, very nice.

I have a 1937 that I bought from Frank S- one of the smoothest S&Ws I have ever shot.
