Bersa 380s?

A coworker is selling a Bersa Thunder 380, and I find myself mildly tempted. Any thoughts? Reasonable price?

So far, I have exactly -0- complaints. It's eaten up everything we've tried---not a huge variety but maybe 200 mixed HP, TC and RN---and not missed a beat. Ergonomically, it fits very well, both my paws and Miss Melodie's diminutive hands. Sights are quite good. Accuracy is good but it seems to plant 'em low for me...real close to POA for Melodie. I am impressed so far. I think the OTD was just over $200 for this'un--a used one languishing away on Squeak's table.

I have the 22 version. Great guns. The new ones run around $300. These days they are larger than a lot of the mini 380s but I am sure they are easier to hit with. The gunshop employee who sold me mine told me he had two Bersas himself.

if you get it, let me know.

Bersa 380s?

by Jhenry, Friday, August 10, 2012, 22:05 (4435 days ago) @ bpjon

My very excellent neighbor has one and uses it as a daily carry piece. My opinion of it is that it is put together very nicely, it fits my hand quite well, it has actual usable sights, the trigger in single and double are surprisingly nice, and it is accurate and reliable. There are lighter and smaller .380's out there, but the Bersa is one I would jump on if the price was right. I like it quite a bit.

We get more positive comments on them than anything else.

Look for a post on youtube by Quinn's and also Hickok 45.

Seems that both have a video review as I remember it.

We have done some articles...

Had one and enjoed it....nice gun...also had Walther PPK-S staniless and it was a hell fire kicker...nsty to shoot even with the Pachmayer grips...then had a Beretta380 and it was alllright....BUT the premier was the Sig P-380 and it was a honey shot just like a miniatgure 1911 and was pleasant to shoo and carry and was accurate to booot....had a friend that absolutely had to have it...so it went by...
maye well gt another....
