Anyone here on the board own one? I have read Jeff's review, and it seems like it is a well put together shooter, nothing fancy, just a good solid 1911. Wondering if anyone has bought one, if so, how is it holding up? How many rounds have you put through it? Just curious, as I am still hankering for one.

I have two on order. Shop a few towns over has a sweetheart deal with some distributor and is selling them for under $600, tax included. I'm supposed to have them in the next 6 to 8 weeks. I can wait. :)
Nice

I will likely be waiting a lot longer than that, but from what I have read, it will be worth it.
Seem to be good guns...

I shot Tom Richardson's and they seem to be good guns. Tight and accurate. I had no complaints with it.
I bought one over the summer, just before the Talo version, with the blackened slide, came out so I decided to order one of those instead and sold my NIB all stainless one before I shot it.
Most everyone that I have talked to that has one likes it, FWIW.

I have close to 2000 rounds through mine.
No problems. Shoots well.
Might have to tear it down and clean it in the near future.
Thanks

Anyone know what's the holdup for getting this Ruger product into some shops so's we can buy it ??? I stop by 3 to 4 shops now 'n again, and haven't seen one yet. they are going to folks on "THE LIST". So far the list is growing, but Ruger can't seem to make enough of these things.

for other Ruger autos. They tried to stock up and even delayed the announcement while they made more, but so many folks want them...

I have to admit to being a 44 caliber revolver man. I have never had any interest in a 1911. But, I have to admit the Ruger has whetted my interest. Not sayin I will rush out to get one any time in the forseeable future, but interested. If you go to the Ruger forum they have a whole section for the SR1911. May help answer some of your questions. Good luck.
