Good tip. I'll try that. I had to polish the cylinder pin as it was a bear to remove. After polishing with 600, 1000 and crocus cloth it now pulls out much better, but it still feels like I need to chamfer the cylinder pin hole as it feels sharp as the pin is entering.

Another quirk of the 3.5-inch barrel SAA is that to remove the cylinder pin you have to push the ejector back so the pin will clear the ejector button.

Shortening the cylinder pin might give me the length I need to remove the cylinder pin without having to push the ejector to allow the button to clear the pin.
