Ian got it wrong...

Following up on the "Forgotten Weapons" video about the Indumil Cordoba, a few days ago they put up a video on the Indumil Llama Cassidy. He states that it's "a copy of the S&W Model 10". No. No it is not. If he'd taken a screw driver to it like he often does on other guns, he'd have found the internals very different. The size and shape are very reminiscent of the K-Frame from Smith and Wesson, but not an exact copy. The K-Frame T-grip, for example, does not match up, nor do S&W grip panels. Those gripes aside, he DOES demonstrate the camming hammer safety feature that lowers the hammer on trigger press to allow it to strike the firing pin and then raises it up to use the frame itself as a hammer block. I'd like to examine those two he shows to see if they have the same fault I've seen on several other examples of the same model. Every one I've examined has an out of alignment cylinder in regards to the bore, causing lead shaving and less than optimal accuracy.
