It's amazing to me just how inexpensive these are getting. I've not heard much negative about RIA products other than they are pretty much 'entry level'. Still and all, that price amazes...

Edit to add: I'm not personally interested to add to The Pile---just an observation.

I have one in 9 mm, brother in law has one in 45 acp and son in law has a 45 acp as well, all good guns that shoot good and are 100% reliable. Only two negatives I have ever heard about them are the slides are HARD, most gunsmiths won't work on them as they eat tooling. Second is the finish, pretty low grade parkerizing, other than those two things, they are great deals for the money.

The optics are getting less expensive, as well. I'm trying out an O-Light O-Sight rechargeable red dot on my Glock 43X MOS. It was less than 200, so I'm hoping we've finally gotten to the point that pistol mounted optics have become affordable to the average person. I've only put 500 rounds or so through it, but so far it's doing well. I've had it on daylight settings for over a month and the battery is still at 100%.

I can't use red dots. I see several dots when I look through them.

This is my first one, so I didn't want to go all in yet. So far, it's working well for me.
I bought a Rock Island slide stop to replace the cast one in

my Ruger 1911. It came in packaging that said it was made in Israel and man was it hard! A sharp jewelers file would skate on it. I had to stone it when I was fitting it.

That seems like a very good deal. I have a couple of them, one a basic 45 and the other a ‘fancy’ 9mm. The 9 has all the extended safeties and beaver tail etc etc. trigger is ok but noth have proven to be reliable and accurate.
I have done red dots on a carry gun and practiced with it enough to feel comfortable. I was thinking of putting a red dot on the 9mm for fun and competition use and occasional carry but I can’t put a dot on a gun I already own for much less than buying that new one! I’m sure whatever dot they include in the package is probably low end but good enough to try the concept out.
