It looks "at home" on the gun and replaces the unsightly safety.

For over 100 years leverguns never needed a safety. (enuff said :-| )

Let me day dream a little, your rifle is nice but a 41 Magnum version with the barrel threaded for suppressor usage and 230gr Keith loads around 1,000 fps would be really nice. Old school lever gun with a touch of modern :-D

Benefits:
1 - It does away with the cross-bolt safety.
2.- It replaces the cross-bolt safety.
3.- It removes all traces of the cross-bolt safety.
4.- See #1 and following.

I need to track one down. Another benefit is that it eliminates the unnecessary crossbolt "safety" without leaving any external trace it was ever there.
