He was more like Lonesome Rhodes in A face in the Crowd than Andy Taylor. great actor hard core Leftist posing as a good old boy. Griffith, Like Paul Harvey, wrapped his socialist outlook in down home charm. A commie is a commie, they are just as despicable in their politics as Schumar. (If you have not seen this film, A face in the Crowd, Watch it, worth it. Brilliantly done by Ilia Kazan)I loved Mayberry as a kid.
