Ruidoso gunshow find, Buckeye Special in 38-40/10mm. Have acquired 38-40 dies, patiently searching for 38-40 brass. In the meantime I will plug away with the 10mm cylinder, have plenty of brass and bullets, plus one mold, SR1911 has a sixgun companion. Wanted one of these for a while, it's in great shape, and so far it shoots fang good. Will probably be in search of a mold specifically for the
38-40. Don't ask me why I wanted a 38-40, I just have for decades, scratched that itch!

Good for you!

I passed on a deal on a similar Buckeye many moons ago and wish I hadn't. Also passed on a Colt NS in .38-40 that I wish I hadn't. Still no .38-40 today....(sigh)....

I can't wait

To work with the 38-40 cylinder!

At one point in time, back in the 20th Century...

I had in my tiny collection a CBC 38-40 cartridge. At this point in time I don't recall where I picked it up, but it was with my "stuff" until we left the Amazon Basin area. Like Melchizedek there is no record from whence it came nor as to where it went. :-D Anyway, that's the extent of my hands on experience with the round. Not very satisfying at all. :-(
