Best range for accuracy testing for 22LR?
After reading JimT's post about his Ruger American 22 Mag it reminded me I still don't have a 22 LR bolt rifle so I had my local FFL order in a American model #8351 in 22 LR, stainless, threaded version of JimT's rifle.
Now the question is......what is the best range to accuracy test a 22 LR bolt gun, 50 yards seems best, 25 yds is too close, 75 yds is a odd range and 100 yds seems like it is really pushing that little bullet and I feel weather condition dictate accuracy results more than the ammo. This rifle will fill the plinking/fun gun role.
Your thoughts????? What range do you use for accuracy testing for the 22 LR?
