That's from the park out in front of our house. Unfortunately, there's something about the soil or the trees or ??? that renders them unpalatable to humans. The dogs, on the other hand, love them. Our Biscuit dog is a regular mango hound. She considers it her duty to scour the ground under the trees in search of mangos green or ripe of any size that might have fallen since the last time she was there.

I haven't had a really good Mango since i left Mozambique.

I saw some pictures and the Mango tree that Twyla planted in 2011 now about 25 feet high and bearing lots of the big mangoes. I do miss the fresh papaya, mangoes, and all the other kinds of fruit we had growing pretty much everywhere.

transported. Left to ripen more on the tree and they become sweeter and tastier. Same goes with most, if not all, fruit.
