Summer of 1959, I was entered in a beautiful baby contest at the Tulsa County Fair. And I won.

My beauty has since left me, but at 8 months or so of age, I was a stunner.

Prizes were a savings bond, and cast recordings of half a dozen musicals. Oklahoma, South Pacific, Carousel, more still. Straight people listened to showtunes, back in the mists of time. I still remember most of the lyrics to most of the songs.
