Way back in the late 20th Century...
we were up in the US to acquire a computer and printer to take back to the Amazon Basin with us in order to produce teaching materials for our ministry there. Funds were tight and feeding two small boys wasn't exactly that easy to do, so I put in an app at a carnival that came to town and got a job working a couple different booths - but I studied each one and saw how they were stacked, one way or another, against the person playing. By that time there were no firearms type attractions with the closest thing to such being a full auto lead bb spewing machine that you used to attempt to completely remove a red star from a card stock target. Never tried it, nor any of the others for that matter. Watching folks waste enough money in a short period of time, money enough to feed my boys for a week or more, was enough to reinforce what I already knew and keep my change in my pocket. The cash I earned was a big help, but the education has stuck with me. Thanks for sharing that with us!
