Smith and "Western" hand ejector results

Regarding that Smith hand ejector in the index below, I was able to make it to the range a few days ago. It was blue cheese cold and rainy. This Brazilian contract Smith shot very well but it seems to be regulated for 230 ball. This first image is Geco 230 FMJ ball at 25 yards. I painted the front sight with a flat yellow paint. It was still fuzzy, but I could make out the two front sights (old eyes) in the rear notch and put them both in the center of the black. Everything below as shot at 25 yards from a rest of just letting the revolver hang loose with my hands on a range bag.

Below is 6 shots with Federal 230 ball but they hit to the left. This was a dead-on hold in the center of the black. My 230 Lee Tumble lubes hit to the left with 6 grains of Unique, but they centered up okay with 5.6 grains of 231. I don't have an image of the Lee 230 TL ball.

All 200 grain bullets shot low as expected. Below is the H&G 68 loaded over 5.5 grains of Bullseye. Looks promising, but I don't relish having to file the front sight yet.

Lastly, below is the Lee 255 grain RNFP loaded over, if I remember correctly 6 grains of Unique.

I was holding 6 o'clock on this bullseye and it shot dead on to the point of aim. I corrupted the group by adding the 4 shots to the right. I don't know if it was my eyes watering from trying to aim and squint or it was the load having fliers. Anyway, I have a good start on what I will be shooting in this revolver................Thanks for looking.
