That's nothing. I took a $3,500 guitar in to a
high zoot LA guitar shop, inquiring on a trade toward another rare guitar they had, a Fender Bass VI. After the so-and-so manager and ???"head" sales guy played it for about twenty minutes, they made their offer.
"Twenty five."
"Hundred? Then how much more for the Bass VI?"
"No, twenty five dollars, SON."
Imagine my restraint at not going Pete Townshend on both of their skulls with my expensive instrument!
