Never heard a reason behind the 41 Mag, Blue Dot issues. Anybody know if Paco Kelly ever commented about this? His article on the Blue Dot/41 Mag combo was what inspired me to do my own test/article on the combo years ago.

This Warning has been out there for several years now. I seem to recall reading at the time about a change in Blue Dot. Supplier? formulation? Process? Don't remember. There were theories of course, and 'Old BD' OK 'New BD'BAD, but no company verification that I am aware of.

I have never heard it explained either ...

It has always seemed strange to me that a specific powder can work well in one size straight cylinder, and not in another. How does changing the cylinder (case) diameter contribute to the condition?

But them I’m no ballistician.

I have never heard it explained either ...
