Nice! I miss seeing deer. We see a lot of iguanas and the occasional agouti and the rare squirrel, but that's it for non-avian wildlife in these parts.

For example...

Sheri just took this shot of an iguana across the street from our house. For the record, I still miss seeing deer. :-D

Just like deer, you can eat those.

Crocodile Dundee says they taste like ...... but you can live on it.

Folks who've eaten them use the tired old "they taste like chicken". I skinned one, once. Not sure WHY, but it stunk pretty bad. On the other hand, I ate a tiú once (tegu for the English only speakers). It was fairly decent, much better than the macaw that I fixed at the same time. In all fairness, that was before I learned you can skin a bird prior to cooking. That would probably have improved the flavor of the macaw tremendously, but would have done nothing for the boot leather toughness of it. The tiú made decent vittles. Maybe someday I'll try an iguana again.

Sue's revenge in NYC was pretty good, too!

I'm in Kyle til the end of the month, and I'm eating steak...Oh, and pie, of course.

If I had known I would've honked and waved as I drove by!
