I'm a bullet nose sawer/filer from way back.....
Of late I've been using this on rifle bullets and already loaded handgun ammo.....

a hobby cutoff saw from harbor freight.
Just a gentle kiss against the side of a bench grinding wheel using the safety housing edge as a guide/rest is the fastest and easiest way but is not exact and as repeatable as a trim die. Mind, use the side of the wheel. The lead/copper clogs the face quickly.
