I once put twelve shots on a pizza box at twenty paces with just six pulls of the trigger. Got the idea when loading a somewhat reduced load with the cylinder off of the gun to ensure full compression. It was obvious there was ample room in that first chamber for yet another ball so I loaded it completely that way (double).

Now there's a pair to draw to. Never had the pleasure of playing with either of those models. Current cap and ball battery is an 1860 copy by Pietta and a Ruger Old Army that's been "tuned" at some point. Both give a lot of enjoyment, but can't help but look at the gaps in the collection and ruminate on "what's missing". Honestly, what's missing is the opportunity to get them out and play! Very enjoyable and lots of historical associations. Recently embarked on making paper cartridges also; having no experience in this area it also was a lot of fun. Used a Kerr mold obtained from Eras Gone.
