Hi all, I have this 6.5 barrel flatop .357 #25412 I lost the link I had to date it , I was just thinking maybe someone here would know what year it was made??:-D

that Ruger is now doing letters. The poster posted about a Ruger Old Army that was made in 1981. Said it cost him $10 for the letter.

I got a Ruger letter about 6 years ago for an OM Blackhawk

.45 that had a brass grip frame.

All it could tell me was the ship date and that it left the factory as a 4 5/8" model. No mention of anything else. Not much of a help but it was only $10.

The ROA letter I saw gave a "Shipped to" bit of info as well

other than that just the date of manufacture, etc. Pretty basic, but then you're only spending $10 2022 A.D. dollars...

The letter for my Redhawk said pretty much the same

The letter for my Redhawk said pretty much the same Strangely, the letter said that my Redhawk was produced in Sept. 1980, not manufactured. This puzzles and annoys me a bit because it's a low 3 digit S/N, and should have been from the first production run in 1979.

I know. First world problems:-) .
