Stuff in Stock at Local Shops

Hi all.

I got out yesterday to a regional chain store called "Runnings"... my first time ever in one. It's kind of like what you'd get if you built a Tractor Supply and added a bunch of sporting goods to it.

It turns out they carry reloading supplies. Their powder shelves were nearly empty... four pounds of powder in stock, including one Pyrodex, one Triple 7, one Longshot, and one IMR4895 (which, this last one I grabbed).

They had a fair supply of component bullets on hand for the common pistol calibers and .223- and .30-caliber rifle. I scored two boxes of .308-caliber Hornady Interlocks, one of 170-grain flat-points for .30-30 and some 180-grain PSPs for the '06.

Interestingly, although I would bought Noslers or Speers or Sierras if they had 'em, what they had on hand was mostly Hornady (which I also like just fine). I brought two boxes of Hornady bullets home to set alongside three other partial boxes of Hornady bullets.

It makes me wonder if Hornady has been better at fighting the supply chain issues just lately, or has better manufacturing capacity than the other firms.
