I last talked with terry last Wednesday, and he was feeling rough. Now I find that my friend
Terry is gone. We all have losses and gains as we pass through life and Terry was one of my great gains as well as a great loss.

What a sad loss we suffer with his passing. A one of a kind gentleman for sure.

Back in the early years of my beginning to shoot handguns daily, I read every gun magazine I could get my paws on. Terry was one who just sort'a 'jumped right off the paper' at me. I read everything I could find written by Terry. He ranked right up there with the other big time writers and shooters of the day.

I never dreamed I would one day actually get to meet Terry. It was at Tom's during CSA (2011?). I was standing down the drive a bit past the fire pit and someone said something about 'there's Terry Murbach'. I asked, WHERE!? They pointed him out and up the hill I went in a hurry to meet him.

Later that evening back at the motel in the lobby, there sat Terry on a couch fondling a SAA of some sort's (My memory fails me as to what it was, seems to be it's job of late). I took a seat next to him to see what bits of knowledge I could glean from this man I had admired for so many decades. Things like, why is the trigger offset on a SAA and how a friend of mine had told me it was because of yada yada. Terry set me straight right quick and I figured I Had the best and truest answer to that question finally answered!

I told Terry one of my biggest issues with a SAA, was how slow they were to load/reload. Fella's, I got my education on how to load and unload a SAA that evening sitting on that couch in Clarksville, Arkansas by a man I figured was the best to learn from, period.

He will be missed.

Rest in peace Mr. Murbach, you were truly a great one Sir.

I remember that night. That was one of the few S.S. guns.

I thoroughly enjoyed the too short and few times I was able to sit down and chew the fat with him.
I too, like Murphy, spent a good two hours sitting on the couch in the lobby of the Best Western at CSA.

Rest easy sir
